It is important to understand the relationship between the PSII and the printer when
you are establishing alerts. Here are the relationships you need to be aware of:
• Non-ZebraLink-enabled printers — can send alerts on only a specific set of
printer errors that are reported in the IEEE 1284 protocol.
•
ZebraLink-enabled printers — ZebraLink allows for the printer to send alerts
not in the IEEE 1284 protocol.
