Replacement Kit RK17949-007- RW 220 Printer Frame

Installation Instructions

This kit includes the parts and documentation necessary to install the RK17947-007

Printer Frame Kit, RW 220. Read these instructions thoroughly before attempting

to install this kit.

The operator must wear a properly grounded ESD strap to perform the following

repair procedure.

Tools Required

#0 or #1 Phillips Head Screw Driver

Cautions

 Caution•Thisinstallationmustbeperformedonlybyaqualiedservicetechnician.

Unless otherwise specied:

• Always turn the printer off

• Remove the battery before installing any Replacement Kits.

• Remove media before installing this Replacement Kit.

Removing the Printer Frame

1. Remove the Upper Housing. Refer to Procedure RK17947-008/009 for more

details.

2. Remove the CPU Board. Refer to Procedure RK17947-014 for more details.

3. Remove the (4) Screws that secure the Printer Frame to the Lower Housing

and remove the Printer Frame and Media Cover.

4. Remove and retain the following from the Printer Frame:

• Media Cover Assembly (ref. RK17947-001)

• Media Guide Assembly (ref. RK17947-003)

• Printhead Assembly (ref. RK17947-005)

• Motor. (ref. RK 17947-008)

Install The New Printer Frame Assembly

1. Assemble the Media Assembly onto the new Printer Frame: Refer to

RK17947-003 for more details on installing the Media Assembly.

2. Assemble the Media Cover Assembly to the Printer Frame. Follow the

procedure for reinstalling the Media Cover Assembly per RK17947-001.

• Ensure the Hinge Pin passes behind the Sensor cable.

• Press the Sensor cable rmly into its channel in the bottom of the Printer

Frame.
